Hays Cross Country traveled to compete in Brenham’s Hillacious Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, September 24th.  It has been called “The toughest course in Texas.” Running against many of the top Houston-area teams, the Hays Rebels shined in their gut wrenching effort.

The Varsity Girls placed 9th out of 21 teams with Gabby Bosquez racing to a 10th place overall finish while Alexis Berry powered her way to her best time of the season.

The Varsity Boys were led by Daniel Garraway with Jaden Tumale just 8 seconds behind.  Robbie Woodworth also earned his season best time.

The top 10 JV runners competed in the 4A & Below Varsity Division.  Racing to season best times were Trevor Casey and Aaron Williams. On the girls side, Katie Johnson and Sydney Wilson ran their season best times and lead the team to a 10th place finish.

In the JV Girls division, running their season best times were Georgia Cardosa, Sierra Grover, Belen Contreras, Shayne Forsberg, and Mikayla Tumale.  In the very last race of the day, Jesse Hightower was the top finisher for the JV boys team.
